Camas Prairie Food Bank cut its online teeth with a Facebook group throughout the 2013 year. The online group grew to 253 that has enabled the collective group of interested local citizens to keep up with the charitable organization. Carlene Whitesell is the Executive Director who donates countless hours of her personal time volunteering to manage, delegate and ensure that those who are in need, are able to sustain themselves through hard times. The food bank and all its volunteers have done an incredible job to build the momentum of a much needed resource in our region.
Wild Web West recently launched an official website for the Camas Prairie Food Bank and will volunteer time to manage the website, adding content, news, resources and making sure this central communication resource is maintained to continue the momentum of what the Camas Prairie Food Bank represents.
The website is built on Googles free “Blogspot.com” portal. Its a free web builder resource and is flexible enough to customize most aspects of a website. An embedded blog will provide the timely news posts to keep the community up to date on needs, and other important information.
Please visit the site. Subscribe to our blog notifications by email and help to get the word out about this website. Please remember, this food bank relies on community support and donations. Please help where you can. We will be adding lots of new info to help our community to be pro-active in curbing the prevalence of hunger in Idaho County.
