If you live in or travel to the area of Homosassa or Crystal River, Florida on the Gulf Coast, and you love to fish, visit www.grouperhunter.com .

GrouperHunter.com Screen Print

This custom designed site use to be hosted by a less than savory web host / designer.  When Capt. Don contacted me for help, I took him by the hypothetical hand and led him to safer and much more productive territory.

Capt Don was paying $130/mo to the crook, who was making all kinds of promises about search engine optimization, but when we looked at the web stats for GrouperHunter.com, the site was generating a measely average of 2-3 visits per day.  Is that complete and utter fraud or what?  I couldn't believe the absolute and blatant exploitation this guy in the Ft. Lauderdale area was committing - and at the same time, reflecting poorly on the web industry as a whole.

Enter Wild Web West.  I immediately moved grouperhunter.com to my hosting server and dropped Capt Don's monthly web hosting to under $25/month.   I then made improvements to the backend by properly optimizing the site with keyword rich phrases that reflect the type of words a consumer might type into the search engines to reach this online presence ::  Offshore and inshore fishing guide in the Homasassa and Crystal River  right on the beautiful Florida Gulf Coast.

We also setup a Wordpress Blog to accomodate Capt Don's desire to post seasonal fishing reports to keep his fans and customers in touch with whats going on in the Florida Gulf waters of Homosassa and Crystal River area.  This Wordpress Blog is cross linked to his website and generates additional traffic based upon the keyword rich content that this professional fishing guide delivers online.

One other element that I tied into Capt Don's GrouperHunter.com website is a photo gallery.   The photo gallery has an administrative backend where Captain Don can keep his customers coming back for a peek at their own photos from the fishing trip they booked.  He is completely empowered to launch an unlimited number of photos to the site.   This is a very customer oriented feature that brings such a friendly tone to the overall site content.  Customers who have hired Flats Chance Charters can visit Grouperhunter.com and see their own faces among those customers who have been on the water with Capt Don, and even email their friends the link to this photo gallery to show off their catch.  What fun!

If you don't believe me about the traffic to GrouperHunter.com, just look below at the screen print that I lifted from his statistics server just this morning while writing this article.  Today, the web statistics shown below reflect very healthy levels of site visitation - averaging over 100 visits per day.  Captain Don is getting the exposure to his outfitting, fishing guide business that he deserves.

Captain Don Chancey is a high caliber individual who provides an outstanding guided fishing experience on the gulf waters  -- producing smiles and joy in the hearts of recreationalists near and far.  If you're seeking to locate the best fishing guide on the Central Florida Gulf Coast, contact  Capt Don at www.GrouperHunter.com  to book your memorable fishing adventures on the Florida Gulf waters.  Whether you love plugging the mangroves for snook, fishing for trout and redfish on the flats, making a family outing of scalloping, or going offshore for the challenges of deep water fishing, you will fall in love with the casual southern charm of Flats Chance Charters, owned and operated by the one and only Captain Don Chancey.

Does My Company Need a Digital Marketing Budget Print E-mail
FAQs

I recently entered into an online discussion concerning the merits of a Digital Marketing Budget.  I received a number of insightful answers from experts who are members of eMarketing Association Group at LinkedIn.com.

The question posted went like this:

Do you agree that most businesses should have a digital technology budget? An online presence brands your business and relative to the project implementation, usually increases company revenues.

Here are a few of the answers posted on this topic:

Doug Guy, Director, IS & Operations at Office Depot had this to say:

Most small businesses fail to understand that having a digital marketing budget is as important as spending on a local ad in their newspaper.

The new shift is research online before stepping foot into a store, so without an online presence, they are putting themselves at a disadvantage by not being "found".

I explain to my clients that for the money they dump into Yellow Pages, they should change and invest in some internet brand building. Many of my SMB clients are seeing ROIs of over 150% in their investments AND they have a much farther reach than what they normally had with traditional marketing.

Sid Bidlon, Self Employed Information Services Contractor said:

Absolutely.

From a consumer perspective, I always research online before making a move.

From a marketing perspective, once it is built (and properly maintained, technology and content), it is an amazingly cost effective tool.

Cheryl Ann Bourne, DIRECTOR OF PHARMACEUTICAL MARKETING at SKYSCAPE chimed in with the following claim:

Without a doubt! Look at where people go for information... the Internet... and have a presence there. In fact, I think virtually all businesses should have the majority of their marketing budget in digital.

WHY DO I NEED A DIGITAL MARKETING BUDGET?

If your business has not yet engaged in establishing a Digital Marketing Budget, perhaps its time you start considering one.  Falling back on the same old methods year after year means you are treading on an old fashioned business model that may send you the way of the dinosaur.
